How to download Pinterest images
Save any public Pinterest image in its original, full-resolution quality — in just a few seconds, on any device.
The quick version
- Open the pin you want on Pinterest.
- Tap the Share icon and choose Copy link (or copy the address from your browser).
- Paste the link into the box on our homepage downloader and press the download button.
- Pick a resolution and save the file.
Getting the highest resolution
Pinterest stores each image in several sizes — small preview thumbnails (236 px and 474 px wide), medium versions (564 px and 736 px), and usually the creator's original upload. When PinFetch resolves your link, it lists every size it can find so you can choose. For wallpapers, printing, or design work, pick Original or the largest pixel size available. For a quick share or a moodboard, a smaller size downloads faster and saves space.
On iPhone and Android
The steps are identical on mobile. In the Pinterest app, tap the pin, use the share arrow, and choose Copy link. Switch to your browser, paste it here, and download. On iOS the file is saved to your Downloads (and can be moved to Photos); on Android it goes to your Downloads folder. Because the file is delivered with a proper .jpg or .png extension, your gallery app will recognise it immediately.
Why a clean filename matters
If you right-click and “save image as” directly from Pinterest's content delivery network, you often get a long, meaningless filename and sometimes the wrong extension.
